Medical Malpractice

Dear Ibogaine Clinic,

I am writing to address what I believe to be instances of medical malpractice during my recent stay at your facility. I am reaching out in an effort to resolve these issues before pursuing legal action, which may involve filing a multi-million dollar lawsuit alongside two other residents, Marc and Ken, who shared similar experiences, if not worse.

First and foremost, I want to emphasize that I maintain a strict lifestyle, adhering to a scriptural diet that consists solely of organic food and spring water.

Despite your claims of having chefs on staff and offering organic options, the reality of the food provided was far from satisfactory, simpler to a taco truck. The snacks were processed, the quality of the meals was subpar and inedible, and the bedding was made of polyester, which contains neurotoxins harmful to the body. The overall facility fell short of the luxury standards advertised on your website, resembling a budget motel rather than a high-end retreat.

Furthermore, the lack of attention to detail extended to basic amenities such as the shower faucet, which leaked and had little to no water pressure, and the insufficient supply of toiletries. The use of Palmolive soap, a known skin irritant and neurotoxin, was particularly concerning given my strict adherence to chemical-free products.

During our excursion to the water hole, we found it closed, and the beach we visited did not meet expectations of luxury.

The treatment received did not align with the promises made regarding Ibogaine therapy, and the second treatment was notably ineffective. I have taken a sample of the medication provided and will have it independently tested in the USA. If the substance is found to be anything other than Ibogaine, legal malpractice and fraud action may be pursued. Additionally, the unprofessional behavior displayed during my first session, as well as Ken's, was unacceptable, two of you Antonio and the nurse screaming and her crying was beyond acceptible durning my session, how was I to even get to any state of relaxation.

Moreover, I was mistakenly or intentionally served pork in a sandwich despite my dietary restrictions and even on your website and signage, which was a significant oversight.

I now have to undergo an expending two week fast and detox to rid of the toxins from my body. I have documented these incidents as theKen and Marc and intend to share my experience on a public platform, potentially reaching a wide audience through Joe Rogan's podcast my good friend and neighbor in the desert of Palm Desert. I will be posting this review on all your review sites, and until we reach a settlement, I will remove it after we have reached an agreement.

I request that you respond within 48 hours with a proposed resolution, including a refund. In the meantime, I will proceed with filing legal documentation with relevant authorities in both the USA and Mexico.

Sincerely,

Jeff Stevens

No one is going to resolve anything with you. If you do hire lawyers and waste your time, they won’t be happy you spoke about the issue here.

Ibogaine heals your deepest, darkest pain.

Ibogaine allowed me to heal in ways no other program or therapist has ever done before. I would absolutely do it if you have addictions in the attempt to escape reality. Ibogaine is the cure to target the pain inside your heart and obviously faith is very important. Anything that comes from nature is our true medicine.

Looking for reviews on Beond clinic in Mexico. Seems legit but after reading a bunch of reviews of other clinics I am skeptical.

Beond is legit. More patients than they should probably take at a time, but best medical staff and support staff in the biz. It’s the only place I would trust with friend / family.

Guest

I was just at Beond in Cancun for treatment last month. They are wonderful.

Top notch medical care that's carried out with love.

It's not just the ibogaine that heals. Being surrounded by love for 10 days was a huge part of the healing

I think theres one main Ibogaine treatment center in Mexico. They always change their names when they pissed enough people off. They work with the cartel and when they rip them off, they have to run and find a new assumed identity. Please save your money and go to rehab instead.

Refused refund

Updated by user Jul 31, 2018

Ibogaine University is officially called Ibogaine Institute (although the website still says University). It is in the process of changing to Anzelmo Wellness Center.

Original review Jul 31, 2018
I went to Ibogaine University in Rosarito, Mexico (now operating under another another name, I believe) run by Thom Leonard. I was there in April of 2018. I was quoted a price of $5,000 for one week and $8,000 for 2 weeks. The rep convinced me to go for 2 weeks, so I wired $8K to Mr. Leonard. Once there, I realized I didn't need to stay that long. Don't get me wrong, the actual Ibogaine treatment went well, but the facilities were not very nice. Phone use restricted, locks on the fridges, room was windowless with one bare lightbulb and not much to do. I left after 1 week and asked for $3K refund for the unused 2nd week. Mr. Leonard swore that he would send me the refund, but once I got home he didn't answer any of my calls, texts or emails. He finally ended up sending me $500 bucks - still owes $2,500, which I don't expect to ever see Wtf . Buyer beware!

Beware of lex Kogan and is alledged ibogaine treatment facility in Costa rica

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
First of all, I am the mother of a 26 year old 15 year long opiate addict. I researched several centers before deciding to send Anna to lex for ibogaine treatment. One of the reasons I chose lex is because he was so enthusiastic about the ibogaine tx and talked incessantly and so positively for hours about the success stories he had witnessed. I was warned by my local bank who researched his establishment and urged us to think twice about this center. I was warned at the western union store that there were so many scams in Costa Rica that the wire would probably not go through. (It didn't). I was given pages and pages of printed material by a registered nurse at my Dr. Office that listed all kinds of reasons why "stay away from Lex Kogan" but all these things happened the afternoon Anna was to fly out to Costa Rica for her tx. All these things happened that late afternoon because lex DEMANDED that Anna bring cash. Nehru father and I refused to give her that much cash to carry to another country especially being a drug addict and traveling alone. We called lex ( by the way he was always available before she left for his clinic) and told him all that had happened. The bank would not issue a cashiers check because they found information that he was a fraud, the western union would give us a wire transfer(but we didn't tell him it might not be available because of rampant fraud in Costa Rica) and we were very hesitant to send her because of all the information we found out that late afternoon. He was very quick to defend himself stating he was not interested in the accusations of being a fraud (completion) but extremely interested in saving our daughters life. He said he didn't care about his reputation or the money..her life was what really mattered and that's why he got into the ibogaine business in the first place. Before you knew it we were putty in his hands once again. She arrived in Costa Rica. She got her beautiful room and private bath in the luxuries setting on top of the mountain overlooking the city. She was elated and excited. Shortly thereafter, one of the people on the grounds approached her and requested her to fill an rx of OxyContin. She called me and told me. She was advised absolutely nod not fill any rx. That was the first red flag after arrival. After there for approx 2 days she was to get her ibogaine. She called me and said something is wrong with my heart. My qt waves are high. Not hey went to get lex. I began looking up the adverse affects of ibogaine and learned about the qt syndrome and cardiac arrest with ibogaine. I tried to call lex multiple times throughout the day. No response. Anna called me the next day. She said lex gave her a dose, three hours later another dose and two and a half hours later a half dose. She said she had adrenal fatigue..her muscles were going into spasm and it was extremely painful. She was up walking around, talking on the phone and trying to find a way to get out of the compound. She said she had never seen a dr. Lex was no where to be seen, the nurses were not very intelligent and barely could understand or speak English. Lex had not tried to get his payment from western union. Nashe said, mom he is a fraud. I don't know what he gave me but what ever it was it didn't have any effect on me at all. Nothing. No want to get out of here. Lex shows up. Nmind you she just was supposedly had gotten 3 doses of ibogaine. Nhentakesnher that's day...to get his western union, it is in Anna's name. The western union is not paying out. Next becomes belligerent, angry, hostile, aggressive and she was terrified. Me tells her he wants her off the estate immediately. She calls me in a dead panic. We tried in desperation to get her an immediate flight out of Costa Rica. We tried to call the American embassy and the American consulate but it was the weekend and they were closed. The story gets worse. He calls us screaming, myelin get and wild like an animal. Next we get a call from corporate. Now mind you he tells us all this time he owns this clinic. Mother want to know why the payment is stopped. Suddenly lex gets on the phone and explains that Anna was not finished with her diesel that he only MICRODOSED her. Really lex.? He dosed her hours apart because he was afraid of her qt waves and he didn't want ANOTHER Death on his dirty little hands. Then he says, mock folks. Min jumped the gun and lost my temper. Bad boy..shame on me. I don't care about the money. No care about Anna. I'm going to redone her. You are reacting to all the hype with the printed scam literature,Netherlands bank info and hat was researched on me with the scam info plastered all over the Internet and Anna over reacting to what she thought was a finished tx. Let's all settle down and get this done and focus on Anna. Who cares about the money. (Great power play lex) So, he says she's on a trey day. In will feed her and wait 48!hours and we will give all three doses at once. We know her heart will take it. About 54 hours later he flood does her. Next day she is just like the day before. Nothing. Drank some power aide. That's about it. Now for the kicker. Anna is a 3.8 science major graduating in May (17). She's very very intelligent but emotionally very very immature and vulnerable and easily manipulated. She is a physics major for 3 years and is very eager to get into the industry of helping other addicts. Listen to what this GROSSLY MALIGNANT FELONIOUS THUG did to manipulate my daughter. This is what I want to see him hang for. Her iphine6 screen was cracked. He took her to repair it, 100.00, she was to give it to him when she returned...he offered to teach her how to set up and read ekg when she returned...he told her he would teach her how to administer the ibogaine, when she returned. She would have her foot in the door. WHEN SHE RETURNED you ask? Yes. It seems you see that there is $10,000 of ibogaine sitting at a woman's house in the state of IOWA. He said if I give you the foot in, would you agree to go and get this ibogaine for my clinic so I can treat many many many many more people like you who cannot kick their opiate/heroine addictions. (She is just coming off apparent micro dosing and apparent flood dosing ( of which I question very highly, if anything it was ibogaine not ibogaine). She is estancia about the opportunity but at the same time does have a sixth sense in her gut that something is off. Nonetheless she reluctantly agrees when he tops the offer with three ibogaine capsules to take home with her. He purchases round trip air tickets. She is to rent a car in Utah however and drive three states and then board a plane to go to Costa Rica at which time she would drop off the 10k worth of ibogaine and begin her clinical work at the facility for the next 3 days and then return home. Her brother works in law enforcement in New York. He informs her that ibogaine is a class 1 illegal drug in the us. She would be transporting this substance across 3 state lines and into another country and would be looking at an amount to be distributed thereby getting 2 counts or 80 years in a federal pen without parole. This JOKER *** BAG DRUG PEDDALING RAT was ready to take my daughters life away without a blink of the eye not only dosing her with an illegal substance without MEDICAl supervision but also to but her away in a federal pen for the rest of her life. Inwouldmlike to see mr. Alexander James Kogan be locked up for the rest of his life because he is a low life *** bag that nearly took a vulnerable opiate addict for the ride of her life. TO *** WITH his ibogaine clinic. Folks save your money. Nthere are no LEGAL clinics in Costa Rica. There is not a dr. On board at Logan's clinic. Mibogaine is a DANGEROUSLY drug in the wrong hands. It is a great drug if it is administered safely and tests are done to ensure the body is well enough to go through the rigors of ibogaine. PLEASE PLEASE do your homework. You have time. Listen to your gut. Mid your got says something stinks it does stink. Mine told me multiple X but when you have a smooth taking Philadelphia lawyer talking to you selling you the best Miata 5x in his lot for 5000.00 with low mileage you gotta ask yourself why. Please please...no LEX KOGAN

I was treated by Lex and he does spread the doses out over many hours . Thats the way you do it to be as safe as possible .

These reviews are sour grapes from people thinking Ibogaine is going to cure their behavior. I walked in hooked on oxycontin for years and walked out clean with no withdrawal symptoms . Period.Thats a straight up fact. If you think its gonna prevent you from going back out and using your a fool.

Ibogaine is a tool you use to help you get clean not a magic bullet . I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to envision center again and yes you can bring cash . Lex is dealing with strung out addicts would you take a check from them?

Get real ,get clean and don’t expect a magic wand to fix the problems you created. Lex knows what hes doing , do you?

I was on 24mg of Suboxone for 15 years. I went to an Ibogaine Clinic in Mexico and received treatment the same day, I’ve been free of Suboxone ever since!

I know some people do have bad experiences so do your research ahead of time. I’m not going to name the clinic I went to because I don’t want to sound as if I’m a shill who’s promoting it.

Ibogaine Therapy used in psychology

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Hi, we are just spreading the information on ibogaine. A separate study conducted in 2000 tested ibogaine on heroin-addicted human subjects and confirmed a lot of the previous analysis, stating that the psychedelic was able to attenuate drug addiction and opioid withdrawal. Over the course of many separate analysis studies on ibogaine, it’s been found that the substance is accustomed effectively treat addiction to steroids, methadone, alcohol, cocaine, heroin and lots of different medication. We serving to the drug dependent keep one's distance from medicine by teaching those mechanisms which might facilitate him lead a healthy and happy life.

Ibeginagain/envision recovery is a SCAM!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Ibeginagain Ibogaine clinic/ envision recovery (I believe they are making a new name to disassociate with Eric Taub) False advertisements, terrible staff, provider acts like a drug

dealer when he should be at least somewhat professional for the price.

Lex Kogan is the provider at this clinic, when you talk to him on the phone he seems really happy to talk and it makes you feel as though he is excited for you to come down. This is merely a sales tactic. The time he spends with you is limited to when he is at the house and available. I and everyone who came through the clinic agreed that we spent way more time with Lex on the phone than we did at the house. I did think it was curious that he seemed available whenever I called.

There were red flags beforehand that I chose to ignore. The main one being that after I told other providers I was going to go down to Costa Rica and have Lex give me the Ibogaine treatment they all said that they have only heard bad things, the main one being that he does not make himself available when you are at the house or during the trip. This was a big one for me because my previous experiences with psychedelics have taught me that if you're not tripping with a group the next best thing is someone who has been where you are. Simply because you don't feel judged when you are acting like what probably seems psychotic to those who haven't experienced the substance you're on. I heard nurses laughing, talking about how messed up patients were, totally unprofessional.

To me it seemed like Lex has these heady ideas of what he would like the place to be, how I would describe what he was trying at sort of would have been like a libertarian spiritual zone. The thing I heard him repeat to me and others the most was that you know your body better than anyone. He was all about personal freedom. However having nurses (actually they were nurses in training), a MD who didn't speak English and was hitting on all the male patients, I was the only female there, I definitely got less attention then the guys from the medical staff which added to the unsafe feeling I had. Perhaps without the medical staff the libertarian utopia, that Lex seemed to want, would be attainable. What he has create now is two polar opposite worlds that make clients uncomfortable.

He is always on the move, some days I did not see him at all. Some on the staff spoke English, the cook and one nurse spoke English well enough to have a conversation. This proved to be very frustrating during the trip when I was trying to convey something to one of the nurses that spoke very broken English with a lot of Spanish thrown in. During the trip words in English were hard enough to understand, communication was frustrating and I gave up. Well I shouldn't say nurses actually, they were in school to be nurses, they couldn't even get an IV in me, they let me do it by myself. Another note on the staff is that the staff they list on the website was not all there. There was supposed to be a therapist there and a trip sitter who has had a full flood dose.

One of the things I was pleased with was that they let me have freedom, I could do whatever I wanted, go to town, explore the area we were in. However, I realized this during my trip that there was NO waver signed. An interesting commonality that I and the people I met who got treatment while I was there is that we were all so pissed at Lex at one point during the trip, we all felt like we got took by a scammer, he promised the world, and I expected that what the website said and what he told me on the phone would be somewhat true.

The main reason I am writing this review is because I did not feel safe, I feel as though Lex doesn't know what he's doing. His wife was pregnant and about to pop, but still you're running a business and if I pay $6500 cash for an experimental medical treatment that is run out of a shoddy bungalow with underpaid (or perhaps they were just cheap labor) I expect to be treated with a certain degree of service and to feel as though I am safe. He could have done away with the nursing staff and I probably would've felt better. Their presence made it feel like I was in a ghetto hospital. Also Lex does not carry a cell phone, WHAT THE ***? What if something were to happen to a patient? It is almost criminal of him to not carry a cell phone and at the same time the only one who has personally worked with the substance for 14 years. The 14 years part really sold me too, but after doing research I found minimal reviews or praises of his facilities or underground work. You'd think someone with 14 years of experience would have more information about him. I think he is the worst kind of scammer, one who actually puts others lives at risk for a fat stack of 100s.

Lex promised that it would be luxurious and I would be getting massages whenever I wanted. Whenever I wanted was just the days that the masseuse was there, 2 in a 10 day time span. Also the masseuse was talking, during both sessions, to Lex's wife. She was good though, but I was never able to fully relax obviously. This was simply an afterthought, I was not looking for luxury when I was searching for clinics, but if you tell me something that is a lie it is a false advertisement to get me to buy your service.

Please look into other clinics, the medicine itself was great. I remember waking up and the first thing I though was "this place is a scams but the medicine is good, I came for the medicine, be happy". I would never recommend this place to take Ibogaine, not even to my worst enemy.

Lex is a salesmen, just know that, I have worked in that field for a long time. I don't think he deals with many people who pay their own way, it's probably mostly parents who are desperate and want to get their children help no matter the cost. Lex is selling the easiest thing there is to sell to desperate people, hopes and dreams.

One last thing that I have to mention that bugged me out pre-trip. Lex was talking about how in Mexico a competitor put a hit out on him, he also talked about getting a gun (highly illegal in Costa Rica). Why the *** would you tell a client this information? What purpose does it serve? By the end of my stay at Ibeginagain I came to the conclusion that Lex is just a drug dealer posing as a medicine man. It's too bad that he gets good medicine, he does not respect it.

Don't make the same mistake that I made and go to Ibeginagain Ibogaine treatment center, it may be called Envision Recovery now, but either way do not have Lex Kogan provide your Ibogaine treatment. Ibogaine is an amazing medicine, so amazing that even with the terrible experience with the provider and his clinic I still feel renewed. It's as though someone has hit a reset button in my brain, possibilities are all I see. "Fear is the mind-killer" is one of my mantras now. Making new healthy habits has become easier than falling back into old bad habits. Please if you seek help with addiction or other self destructive habits seek out this medicine. One important thing that Lex did not mention to me was aftercare. I was in touch with many providers before I decided to go with Lex, it was sort of a shot gun decision, but they all said aftercare is a must. So I was referred to a therapist who has taken Ibogaine himself and works with many patients that have taken the medicine. I have been talking to him via phone and it has been so helpful.

So again please avoid Lex Kogan and the I begin again Ibogaine treatment center (possibly Envision recovery now). I am not doing this to tarnish or defame, I am doing this because I don't think it is a safe place and it is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt there. Also there are other providers out there, each has a different model, some are very prominent in the Ibogaine culture and have many positive reviews. Just do research and then do some more research.

Man, its totally disheartening to see this kind of hateful slander running rampant across the internet these days. Its especially saddening for me to read these rants following my recent return from Lex's place where we had been invited to be there for his baby daughter's first birthday.

Reading through this long winded complaint reminded me that surfing and cruising the new internet is essentially not what it used to be. Nowadays I notice more and more the cheap shot fanfare, the flash advertising, and the shameless exploitation of juvenile catch phrases that are slightly insulting to all and surely disappointing as ever to the old school veterans out there who remember the developing web back in its glory days.

The net now serves as more of an outlet for the base emotions of a consumer's personal gripes more than the original wild and untamed creative communications that invited confrontational conversation over blatant defamation.

I being a genuinely curious soul can say that I'm a honestly surprised in the sense that I never would have would expect to run across posts that glorify or praise a service provider like Lex just as equally as I’m taken back by these bitter individuals attacking him for what appears to be extremely personal reasons at best.

I mean, seriously, was the poster’s priority to get clean or not. It seems the personal critique a group of people or the service that they've provided overrides (in matters of importance) the poster's own praise of the treatment. Gratitude these days seems to diminish in returns when reflecting on the petty complaints of the unappreciative moderates amongst us.

My drug history was pretty typical of many other pain pill dependents that get snagged by a drug routine that lasts and lasts until your trapped.

I started taking Tylenol with Codeine in my late teens after a car accident. I managed my headaches and neck pain for twenty years with a mild addiction to pain killers. In 2003 my car was hit from the side from a driver running a red light. Although an MRI showed that I had a ruptured disc, I made the decision to not have surgery and to manage the pain and headaches with prescription drugs.

With doctors willing to supply heavy pain killers I slowly ramped up to twenty to thirty Norco a week in about five years. At this point I realized I had an addiction problem and doctors started giving me Klonopin to help with the anxiety of trying to cut back on the opiates (Norco). I found that the Klonopin worked well for my neck pain. Klonopin is one of twenty different forms of an anti-anxiety drug called Benzodiazepine.

I found a source for Valium another form of Benzodiazepine and very quickly became addicted to these also. I started going to a church sponsored 12 step program but could not cut back on the volume of opiates and Benzos I was taking. I eventually became so frustrated I paid $20,000 to attend the Weismann method rapid detox in southern California. The process worked well for the opiates but not for the Valium.

I stayed off the opiates for six months but under doctor’s orders I stayed on a prescribed micro dose of .5 mg of Klonopin. Still experiencing pain and headaches I tried using opiates on a limited basis, but soon found myself using at a higher amount than before. Over the next 9 months I worked my way up to 16 Norcos per day and it wasn’t enough. I knew I was in deep trouble.

It is hard to put into words or even remember the actual desperation and panic I felt on a daily basis. After having such a difficult time for so many years I felt like the addiction was going to kill me if I didn’t find a way out. All this time I had been attending the 12 step program church that was very doctrine centered. I had decided to start fasting along with my prayers.

Shortly after I read an article on the ibogaine story online. At first, I wrote it off as too good to be true. Eventually after years of failing to get off the opiates I opened up to the idea that there could be a natural root I could take and have the opiates and the addiction gone. I researched erratically for just about two weeks.

I scoured everything I could about ibogaine and at some point in the process I contacted Lex, who'd had over a decade of work experience under his belt, especially dealing with opiate addiction. When I first contacted him he just listened to my story and asked me a few questions regarding other prescription I had been using along with the opioids. By the time we had spoke for an hour or so we concluded the talk. I hung up the phone and the first thing I thought about had nothing to do with my possible decision to do ibogaine.

Instead I noticed a simple realization that I did not feel nearly as negative and self critical as I had toward my addiction as I had prior to our initial conversation an four or so before. This was a good thing as it was new. I had slightly subtle feeling that I might have stumbled onto something that may be going somewhere real, in a real way. After our next followup conversation, I finalized my plans.

Within a month I was getting treatment. I was told I’d have a long road ahead of me as far as getting my energy back but that it would all pay off when those feelings of a permanent improvement started to show up on a daily basis. As I write this today it will be a little over four years since I took an opiate and I sincerely have had no craving or desire for them since treatment. The ibogaine trip also helped helped me eliminate the fear associated with having to quit the benzodiazepam addiction.

Lex convinced me that it was necessary to taper down off them at a slow rate. He suggested going slow, planning on a 6 months tapering period. I decided to to drop them after a three month wean, which was the way that felt right for me; that 90 day period is a whole other story itself. Since my experience, I’ve told other quite a few other addicts about the whole ibogaine thing but most people believe it is too good to be true.

As hard as it may be to believe, I’ll say this with soul conviction to anyone who has enough of an open mind to listen, If an addict is ready mentally, the ibogaine will take care of the physical part of the addiction. To sum it up, Lex not only provided a very comfortable space for treatment, he spent a good amount of time breaking down the confusion surrounding some of the ideas that I had been worried about. Ideas like my own addictive behavior patterns and logterm commitment in the wake of the points past weakness. His knowledge of other prescription drugs, and how they tend to interact with our personal sense of well being gave me the strength and confidence to imagine myself living free from the trap of taking a bunch of different pills to sleep or to lift depression or deal with anxiety.

Thankfully, today I’m at a point in life where I take pleasure in the natural things to keep me in line, (I do enjoy massive amounts of coffee on a daily basis) I can honestly look back today and feel very grateful for hearing about ibogaine and having met Lex and his group. My life today is completely different now for me. That difference also affects the life of my wife and our three little daughters. I've been extremely blessed and thankful to have crossed paths with a such a relatively unknown medicine which has given me the opportunity to live again in the fullest sense.

Peace to all people everywhere. With endless love and gratitude G.P.

When Jay C was at Bobby's place he was never asked to share his room. His wife was not angry at the girls.

They all talked about it and made up. Nobody at iboga life judged him for anything.

The ONLY place in Costa Rica to get safe responsible ibogaine treatment is IbogaLife. Check them out on the internet.

I was treated there and got my life back. Don't fall for gimmicks.

Trust IbogaLife to treat you right. Basse

Straight up Jim wrote all of the above not Jay and Andrea might have pissed off J's wife even without her romantic involvement in the instant love affair because after they shared a room for a few days J talked to his ladyfriend in private and they smoothed it over. When Michael and Bobby asked me to call my mother they were mad because I told her they were treating me outside Athena

Guest

Wow.... Thank you for sharing......

Thankfully... the Seven I referred to Minds Alive in Durban were all overwhelmed with the treatment and care recieved... all the pre and post councilling etc...... and they are unfettered...

not just from the tools and self medicating..... Their minds are free and all choices are returned......

I'm glad you had good results with Durban Anonymous but if you are referring people to Africa that are from the U.S. or Canada, you could be saving people a lot of travel time by referring to IbogaLife transmedicine clinic.

They are much closer and they offer compassionate care. IbogaLife treats with ibogaine and Ayahuasca for a very competitive price.

My son almost died. At 6am I got a call that he was throwing up blood.

The maids drove him to the hospital. 5 days in the hospital and Lex didn't even check on him to see if he was alive.

$6000.

My son came back alive, but still had his addiction problem.

Does not work!

Don't waste your money on any ibogaine treatment. I sent my son to Mexico for this treatment and the cost was $15,000 in a cashier's check. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't. Waste of money. My son was an opiate addict and he used the day he got off the plane from visiting an Ibogaine treatment center in Mexico. Believe me, we've been through every type of rehab available. $150,000 later, my son is finally free from this devil of addiction. We used the installation of the "chip" that you can have inserted into your body and it eliminates cravings, etc. It works. It's the only thing that works right now. Hopefully, there will be a cure for addiction that may be much easier, but it's not out there yet.

May not have worked for him but it has helped NUMEROUS others.

There's a difference between saying that "Ibogaine didn't work for my son" and saying "Ibogaine doesn't work." Ibogaine worked for me - it was an incredible experience - and this is a 20+ member of AA talking here.

Guest

'Chip' that eliminates cravings? I've been looking into solutions for my opiod addiction for years and have never heard of a 'chip'.

I'm not saying it's not possible, well then again maybe i am.

tell me more, including the price at 'shawnnedavid1@***.com. please

Jerelyn Wsn

He definitely wasn't ready to get clean. Ibogaine worked great for me because I was ready to get off the drugs and I didn't have my mommy push me onto a plane and fly me over to Mexico.

In that case, of course I would've relapsed just to *** my mommy off. People have to understand that they have to want and be ready to get off drugs and change their life forever.

I hear this all the time ....’ibogaine doesn’t work because cuz relapsed after’ you are the people that tarnish good healthy remedies and pump up the big drug companies cuz I’m sure your child tried those as well and relapsed too but you only talk down the ibogaine cuz it’s not fda us dept of drugs certified.

For anyone that has a true desire to quit using ibogaine 100% works to rid you of any withdrawal symptoms.

It will not however make you not a drug addict, you will forever be one most likely and knowing that going in can make all the difference in the world. It’s not a cure all but it will give you a real shot to beat addiction. I couldn’t take the withdrawal personally and ibogaine set me on my path to freedom .

Ibogaine along with counseling/aa/an/whatever the *** works for you to get to the reason you used in the first place. Have a plan in place for post treatment...if you go right back to your old surroundings you have 0% shot.

Do not have your treatment done at the Ibogaine University- they claim to have 24 hour medical staff and there are no doctors on staff. They are not a licensed facility and are not licensed to be providing any medical treatments of any kind. They sent me home in withdrawal and didn't offer to treat me again to make up for it. There are good providers out there- Ibogaine University is not one of them. All they want is your money and once they have that you are screwed. They threaten you with violence. I urge you to actually do the research and find out who the medical doctors are, and ask to see the license.Do not be fooled by Ibogaine University or *** man Charles Johnston, he has been thrown out of so many clinics he now fronts for this one.

Charles Shaw is on a Ibogaine Clinic witch hunt, if anyone reads the scathing and negative reviews on all of these clinics, the same person is writing all of them. He is a man that is a fake and is mentally unstable.

His name is Charles Shaw and it is time he stops hurting people. All comments and all reviews that call anyone a 'fake" or a "murderer" or "trying to take your money", is a fake person , it is all charles Shaw doing it.

Been a long time since that guy was here. I know this because I took over the clinic two months ago and have been pouring money and resources into making our clinic have the highest success rate in the business.

From daily Kundalini, Family Constellations Therapy, Sensory Deprivation tank, twice per day groups, organic whole meals, Daily Guided Meditations, Acupuncture twice weekly, Chi Gong is three times per week, two surf lessons( after ibogaine), Time-line therapy, full medical supervision and EMT's, 24 hour watch and caretakers and the list goes on. I do not know the extent to Ibogaine University's past but I do know that we are here every day working against the tide of opiate addiction.

Every day we have 4 to 5 core classes, exercises, and therapeutic recovery tools being worked with our clients including the 12 steps( our core team now represents over 100 years of sobriety). And...I doubt the word of a strange, anonymous commenter is going to sway opinion...so just give us a call and see for yourself.

If u run or took over clinic why are you not stating your name. Why are you anonymous?

Can you tell me how many people have died & had serious complications from this drug/plant. I'm seeking help but it scares me with the anonymity, thanks!

Why are you replying as ANONYMOUS to another ANONYMOUS. These reviews are meaningless without a name to call and do research.

Here goes....I had the best and most life changing experience EVER in Costa Rica. .specifically at Envision Recovery. I was being destroyed by my addiction. I encountered information about ibogaine and reached out to the clinic. I received a phone call back with 12 hours. Lex spent sufficient time on the phone to help make me comfortable, advised me on pre- treatment necessities in preparation for a safe treatment. I was picked up at the airport as promised by a VERY friendly and energetic person! Heck...I'm 33 years old and been all over the world. ..BUT This. .this was scary. During the short ride to the clinic my anxiety was lessened just by being with this new friend (That is how I was treated) and being told I was in good hands...we arrived to the clinic and was greeted..literally like they were waiting for me. They had fresh fruit and smiles. Yes.. English was a little broken..but what do you expect? It's Costa Rica! Besides..genuine care and kindness translates in ANY language without words. Any time I needed anything. .it was presented with " *** mucho gusto" which I learned means "my pleasure". Lex was not available for almost the first two days which was disappointing...HOWEVER, I did not go to see Lex, I went to recover and have my hard core addiction interrupted. His nurse, Karla, was extremely capable. Dr. Sofia was friendly. They gave me an ekg to determine if it was safe to administer the treatment. I changed from heroine to oxy before getting on the plane in Colorado (for obvious reasons)..I had a EXTREMELY highdose habit that was pretty intense for almost 4 years and was worried about withdrawal. ..but they kept me comfortable up until my treatment. When I met Lex he was no less friendly than when we spoke on the phone. The location is AMAZING and somewhat rural..the house was clean. Yes.. I paid a FAT stack of 100s for my treatment but no more than agreed upon. I had some complications that were the result of my inability to follow directions prior to coming to Costa Rica. ..and Lex WILL NOT TREAT anyone until it is safe to do so. As a result my planned 7 day stay was much longer. I was treated with the utmost of respect and hospitality....Lex did not charge me another penny despite my staying much longer than what I paid for....his exact words were" don't worry buddy...you're not leaving until you are better." The house can get hectic when full...imagine caring for and dealing with a bunch of addicts in one place...seriously. .but I never felt unsafe. When Lex is not available. ..he's usually in his office speaking with people that are investigating coming out. I appreciated that and respected it because of how much time he dedicated to me on the phone! the ibogaine experience by nature is one to be done alone..I was never promised a trip guide or whatever. .but nurses checked my vitals and ensured I was safe every 20 minutes (during the parts I remember)...fast forward. . I just celebrated one year clean....I personally choose to stay vigilant in my day to day recovery as I recognize that ibogaine served as interruption for my addiction and not a magic cure. I have recommended and sent many people to envisionrecovery and all have had a great experience. I am a real person. ..if you have any questions. ..post comment and email and I will check back.kw

Am I right for Ibogaine? I have had a consistent battle with OCD for most of my life.

For the most part I have tried to channel it into productive outlets, but there are many facets of my life where it thwarts personal growth and reaching my potential. I have struggled / struggle with orthorexia, anorexia, bulimia, and binging. I have tried rehab, therapy, meditation, and other forms of intervention for my problems. I always find myself making substitutions that fail to solve the problem.

I'll substitute new safe foods for old ones, new activities, etc. but no matter what I do the therapeutic activity eventually becomes compulsive. I consider myself a driven, thoughtful, and strong person, but I just can't get a grasp on this even though I know how much disappointment and depression it generates. I waste countless hours negotiating with an inner voice that drives these compulsions, to no avail.

I just want to be free at this point. It feels like this addiction to food controls me, it fluctuates in and out of extreme territory, but no matter what it always remains. When I lived in an ashram in Guatemala for three months, I felt more clear-headed than ever but I was still forced to battle with these feelings. Changing scenery temporarily alleviates the issue, but this ultimately is not a permanent solution.

I know that what I'm dealing with may not technically be an addiction, but it feels all-consuming and it drives a lot of negative experiences in my life. I know that many people have had positive experiences with ibogaine as a component of eating disorder recovery. Does anyone know if it could work in a similar fashion for OCD? My eating disorder was never driven primarily by body image, but rather by pure compulsion.

I so desperately want relief, and after trying so many options I still find myself unable to entirely kick these habits. At the moment, my weight has been healthy for about a year, and I'm physically healthy enough to undergo this method of treatment.

I would appreciate any insight that could help me with this decision. Thank you for your time.

i am a 20yr pill addict (prescribed) hydromorph contin and dilaudid. i too received a call the next day from Lex after leaving a message on their site.

Just wrote below also and wondering did anyone receive a response from person that posted a positive review on Envision Recovery in Costa Rica. Ibogaine sounds so hopeful and I know this review is old but any chance anyone heard back or has any additional info on this facility in costa rica? Or any other would be much appreciated.

Be very careful there are many unsafe facilities with *** artists running them out there south of the boarder. I too am searching for a good one and so far Clear Sky in Cancun seems like the best Dr Mash is a professor at the University of Miami and trained the doctor that runs the place.

I've not been there or anywhere yet, buy I thought I'd offer you what I've learned so far. Hope it helps.
